Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received John Gallagher, Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Armenia.

"Dear Ambassador, we attach great importance to the continuous assistance of the United Kingdom in the implementation of sectoral reforms in Armenia, and we can record with satisfaction the positive dynamics in the Armenian-British bilateral relations," the deputy PM notes in his remarks.

Also, Khachatryan briefed the UK envoy on the humanitarian situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the blocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan.

Ambassador Gallagher, in turn, said that the UK is closely following and lauding the reforms being implemented by the Armenian government.

At the meeting, the parties reflected on the cooperation between the Good Governance Fund off the UK and the Investment Council of Armenia, which serves as a public-private dialogue platform between the government of Armenia and associations of small and medium-sized enterprises, discussed the development of Armenian-British trade, establishment of business ties, as well as matters related to the possibilities of expanding the trade between the two countries countries.
