Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a visit to London on Wednesday, February 8, urged to give the AFU combat aviation and handed the British Parliament a gift from a Ukrainian pilot, reports Newvoice.ua.

"I am proud of our Air Force, and I have brought a gift to you, Great Britain," Zelenskyy said during a speech in Parliament.

The president handed British House Speaker Lindsay Hoyle the helmet of one of the Ukrainian pilots. He also again urged London to give Ukraine combat aircraft.

"This is the helmet of a Ukrainian pilot, one of our most successful ace pilots. On the helmet it says: We have freedom, give us wings to protect it," Zelenskyy noted.

The Ukrainian leader expressed hope that providing Ukraine with aircraft will be the next stage in the work of the coalition of countries providing military support to Ukrainians.
