Turkey will not choose France as the builder of its second nuclear plant as long as Nicholas Sarkozy stays in power, said Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz.

“[Cooperation in the nuclear energy field] with Sarkozy would be troublesome. We are dealing with a large project that cannot be detached from international relations. I cannot ignore politics. I cannot not remain deaf to Sarkozy’s allegations on the so-called Armenian Genocide,” Hurriyet Daily News quotes the Minister.

He stressed that nuclear relations cannot stand such politics.
