YEREVAN. – A festive event devoted to St. Sargis Day—honoring St. Sargis the Warrior, and the Youth and love Patron’s day in Armenia—was held Saturday at capital Yerevan’s Lovers’ Park (photo). President Serzh Sargsyan, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, and Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan, the Vicar General of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, also attended the celebration.   

The event opened with a performance by the Araratian Diocese’s Tsaghkazard Choir, after which Armenia’s several renowned show business performers took the stage. 

The celebrations brought together numerous people, and not only the young.
