YEREVAN. – By the order of Argentina’s President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, Armenia’s Ambassador to Argentina, Vladimir Karmirshalyan, was decorated with the Order of the Liberator General San Martin, which is Argentina’s highest state decoration bestowed upon foreign diplomats.

The Order was ceremoniously presented to Armenia’s ambassador by Argentina’s Deputy FM Eduardo Antonio Zuain, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Zuain highly evaluated Vladimir Karmirshalyan’s contribution to the development and deepening of relations between Argentina and Armenia. 

In his remarks of appreciation, Ambassador Karmirshalyan noted that he accepts this prestigious Argentinean award as an evaluation of the excellent relations between Armenia and Argentina, and the friendship between the two peoples.    

The event brought together senior officials from Argentina’s MFA, diplomatic mission members in Buenos Aires, and directors of Argentinean-Armenian community organizations. 

Ambassador Vladimir Karmirshalyan will soon end his diplomatic duties in Argentina and return to Armenia.
