YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan met with members of the Young Scientists’ Council, to which the Government had allocated AMD 100 million (approx. US$ 258,660) as additional support.

They discussed the Council’s work method, and the young scientists informed about their certain disagreement with this method. The latter was formed with the proposal by the scientists, and, pursuant to this work method, the scientists themselves must distribute the aforesaid allocation, Education and Science Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Minister noted in this regard: “It is a pity that, at present, the young scientists are unable to manifest a sufficient level of self-organization. I am confident that the amount will reach its destination.”

The interlocutors also examined all controversial matters of the young scientists’ concern, and they reached a final decision with respect to the work method.

Armen Ashotyan expressed a hope that the young scientists will be able to carry out, in short order, the projects toward assisting young scientists and revealing scientific potential.
