YEREVAN. – The Passport and Visa Department of the Armenian Police rejected five MP candidates to grant certificates of a permanent residence. Two of those people are opposition members, businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan and Orinats Yerkir party member Eduard Madatyan, the other three names are still unknown.

The Department can reject granting a certificate, if a citizen has resided beyond Armenia for six and more months during five years. As for Sukiasyan’s case, he did not permanently reside in Armenia for more than ten months, head of the Department told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
