YEREVAN. – A scandal is growing within the Armenian opposition powers, as Heritage parliament group head Stepan Safaryan accuses Armenian National Congress (ANC) in reaching secret agreement with the authorities.

The accusation comes after an article was published in the Aravot daily. It claims that ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate Mher Sedrakyan met with ANC candidate Tigran Ter-Petrosyan recently. In addition, Sedrakyan confirmed the fact.

“They have agreed in the following: ANC does not hamper Sedrakyan and allows him to win in one Electoral District, instead, RPA does not hamper and allows ANC’s victory in the other Electoral District,” Safaryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

ANC representative Vladimir Karapetyan rejected such an agreement. Moreover, it called it a slander by the Heritage.
