YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Brussels was a little bit monotonous, according to Past (Fact) newspaper.

“The thing is that the European political elite is preparing for the May elections.

“On the other hand, the European Commission is summing up its work, the Council of Europe parliamentarians are busy with pre-election campaigns. For that reason, there is a view, even within the [Armenian] government circles, that it was not the best moment to leave for Brussels.

“According to information, [FM] Zohrab Mnatsakanyan (…) tried to salvage the situation on the spot.

“The visit took place on the initiative of the Armenian side,” Past wrote.
