YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia is proposing to adopt a law with respect to its authorized representative at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), Zhamanak (Time) newspaper reported.

“According to the current procedure, the prime minister appoints the representative, but the right to nominate a [respective] candidate belongs to the minister of justice.

“[But] under the [said] draft law, the prime minister makes the appointment by himself,” Zhamanak wrote.
