YEREVAN. – It seemed that the Security Council (SC) of Armenia should also address the matter of the Amulsar gold mine, but, instead, it is attempting to evade this important topic, according to Hraparak (Square) newspaper.

“It is surprising, but this body responsible for the security of state has adopted an ostrich policy [on this matter], and is attempting not to assume responsibility upon itself.

“In fact, the [Armenian] authorities’ ‘Soros’ wing, a key member of which is SC Secretary Armen Grigoryan, too, is against Amulsar’s exploitation, and that is partly the reason for the silence [on this matter] of the SC and, in particular, of Armen Grigoryan,” Hraparak wrote.
