YEREVAN. – Virtually all members of the government of the Republic of Armenia (RA) attended Saturday's discussion, led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in Tsakhkadzor, Zhoghovurd (People) newspaper reported.

“And, from the deputies of the National Assembly, the chairpersons and members of various committees, [and] the members of the [ruling] Civil Contract party board were present at the meeting.

“During the meeting, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan primarily spoke, and the main topic was the tense situation created around the Amulsar [gold] mine [project].

“Pashinyan tried to find out from those present their dispositions, and spoke openly that he has been left alone on the matter of the operation of the mine.

“According to our information, N. Pashinyan stated that he is very dissatisfied with the work of the [parliamentary majority] My Step faction MPs, who did not take any steps during this period of time to support the government’s position on that matter,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
