YEREVAN. – Hraparak newspaper of Armenia writes: Viktor Soghomonyan, the head of the office of the second president Robert Kocharyan, referring to the famous video where Kocharyan's "supporter" persuades someone to go and change his testimony, had said that, "With the traces of this video footage, a possibility also opens to launch proceedings towards individual members of President Kocharyan's family."

After the video was released, there were rumors that law enforcement agencies wanted to make the "trace" reach Kocharyan's [eldest] son, Sedrak Kocharyan, and launch proceedings against him, too. Is there such a thing, we asked Kocharyan's [legal] defender Hayk Alumyan.

“I cannot comment on what Mr. Soghomonyan said; it is probably his point of view, not an approach to some rumors. But if he said something about it, he wouldn't especially say for nothing. It is no secret that, in general, a persecution tool is being used against Mr. Kocharyan's family."

According to our information, months ago, when a case was initiated in connection with Congress Hotel, the Prime Minister had personally ordered to arrest Kocharyan's eldest son as well, but law enforcement officials urged him not to do so in his own interests, as "our society will not properly understand making the father and the son sit [at prison] at the same time."
