YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The stage of nominations for the presidential elections in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] starts as of today. Although the campaign has not started yet, Artsakh has long been in the pre-election phase.

[Ex-PM] Arayik Harutyunyan is confident he will win, despite many predicting a run-off. It is with this hope that Foreign Minister Masis Mayilian, who is negotiating with a number of forces to get their support in the second round, is moving.

[Security Council former secretary] Vitali Balasanyan also has no doubt that he will be Harutyunyan's opponent in the second round. He, too, is in political consultations.

If Masis Mayilian reaches the second round, some people think his chances will increase. [Ex-Defense Minister] Samvel Babayan will also support him.
