YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: A 0.5% deflation was recorded in consumer market in February compared to the same period of the previous year. We learn this from the data released by the statistical committee concerning the 2020 prices recorded in January and February in the consumer market and their change compared to the same months in 2019.

(...) let us note that unlike 2020 February, 0.3% inflation was recorded in January 2020 compared to January of the previous year.

Although there has been a primarily major deflation in the food market, there is inflation in terms of individual products that are considered essential consumer goods.

(…) the situation is different in the alcoholic beverage market, where there is 9.1% inflation.
