YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: We were told that the unity of the members of the [ruling] My Step [bloc] is only seeming at this moment, the [My Step parliamentary] faction is still preserved only by the circumstance of fear and shame. They are "working" on them, trying to persuade them not to take that step, to wait still. They are subjected to moral pressure, special words are used, they are being ashamed that leaving the team at this stage is a "desertion."

Meanwhile, there are very few people within My Step who unconditionally stand with [PM] Nikol Pashinyan. A large group of [My Step] MPs believes that the situation should not be deepened and aggravated, it is necessary to go to early [parliamentary] elections as a matter of urgency.

However, Nikol Pashinyan does not even temporarily imagine how he can resign and organize new elections. And even the conviction that the [ruling] Civil Contract [Party] will again form a majority in the parliament does not force him to agree to that scenario. And with that compromise scenario, they propose to elect not a candidate of the opposition for the post of transitional prime minister, but anyone from their team, whom Nikol Pashinyan will again replace after the election.
