YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The results of the LSG [i.e., local self-government] elections [Sunday] have forced the authorities to toughen the strategy, as there are still two rounds of LSG elections.

The provincial organizations [of the ruling Civil Contract (CC) party] have already been told not to save money and resources and to discuss again the expediency of nominating some candidates.

On the other hand, no well-known person agrees to run on the CC [electoral] list.

According to our information, so far the CC has not been able to find a suitable candidate in the enlarged community of Ararat; everyone is rejecting [the offer] (…).
