YEREVAN. – Russia has urged a wealthy Armenian to definitely buy the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company, so that it would not be nationalized in the case of some developments, since the package of loan commitments of the ENA—which has a monopolistic status in Armenia—is very large, reported Hraparak daily.

“The [respective business] deal is not profitable at all, however, the parties have already reached an agreement, and upon the order of the potential buyer—whose name they do not wish to publicize at this point—, one of the most renowned international companies will conduct audits at the [ENA] company (...), to understand the real situation, to know the price of the ‘commodity,’” reported Hraparak.
