YEREVAN. – According to data released by the World Bank, Armenia is ranked fifth among 189 countries in terms of starting a business, reported Chorrord Ishkhanutyun daily.

“This is really astonishing because it seemed to us it would take the first place. It is understood why, because the Armenian authorities use the easiness of starting a business in the country as bait—let them come, easily create a business, then liquidate [it], leave their assets to them [i.e. the Armenian authorities], and somehow run off.

“And fishermen know well: the more alluring the bait is, that much more fish will be caught. And that is why starting a business [in Armenia] is so easy (in terms of preparing the [respective] documents),” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
