YEREVAN. – Inflation is not expected in Armenia on the New Year and next year, Iravunk daily reported.

“At least, if we believe RA CB [i.e. the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia] Chairman Arthur Javadyan, who gave [these] details speaking to us:

‘“We are using numerous mechanisms of monetary policy, and we will continue to use [them] so that we restrain inflation both on the New Year and in 2016. I assure you, we will not have any problems either at end of the [current] year or next year. Even if the known issues conditioned on the external factors continue, we again will meet the challenges. If we compare with the inflation that occurred at the threshold of last year’s New Year, I’m confident that the conditions will further improve this year.”

“We certainly will bear in mind this promise by Mr. Javadyan, sincerely wishing that it will come true,” Iravunk wrote.
