YEREVAN. – According to reliable information, the funding issues with respect to all electronic voting equipment for the upcoming parliamentary election in the Republic of Armenia (RA) are resolved by the Western donor countries, according to Zhamanak daily.

“Thanks to consistent work by the US and the EU ambassadors [to the country], it was managed to agree regarding the necessary quantity of electronic voting devices with the latest technical equipment in 2017.

“[But] the only condition that was put before the RA authorities is that the servers of the electronic voting computers will be kept in the OSCE/ODIHR [i.e. the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights] Yerevan monitoring office, during the entire election and the [vote-]counting process,” Zhamanak reported.
