YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily has learned that the price of Russian natural gas being supplied to Armenia also was discussed during the dinner which Russian President Vladimir Putin had hosted in honor of visiting Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, according to the daily.

“Putin said that the instructions are given, and nothing prevents from reviewing the gas price.

“By the way, during the visit to Moscow, the energy ministers of the two countries signed an agreement on maintaining the [current] price of gas for only one trimester. But the well-informed [sources] do not rule out that a new tariff will be applied from April 1, [and] which will be fairly cheap. The final number has not yet been determined, they are still negotiating, but ‘it will be much cheaper.’

“[But] it is still not clear whether this time an ordinary consumer [in Armenia] also will benefit from this [price] reduction,” Hraparak wrote.
