YEREVAN. – A complicated situation has risen in the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance—which comprises former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, and ex-FMs Raffi Hovannisian and Vartan Oskanian—in the lead-up to the forthcoming parliamentary election in Armenia, according to Zhamanak (Time) newspaper.

“A severe shortage of candidates nominated through the rating electoral procedure is felt in the alliance.

“The alliance is offering 500 [US] dollars for more or less well-known people to run [for parliament], so that they simply nominate their candidature.

“As for the proportional [election] list [of this alliance], there is no certainty here yet. Heated discussions around the list still continue, albeit one day is left for the publicizing of the list,” wrote Zhamanak.
