YEREVAN. – The NGOs, which function under the auspices of the Russian embassy in Armenia and the other CIS countries, will soon make statements expressing support to US President Donald Trump’s efforts to normalize relations with Russia, according to Zhamanak (Time) newspaper. 

“Thus, Moscow hopes to send a message to the White House leader that, despite recent tensions between the two countries, it continues to support the lifting of sanctions and restoring of relations. 

“The no less important second reason for such initiative is to create a mess among civil society, by blurring the intellectual border between pro-Western and pro-Russian NGOs,” wrote Zhamanak.
