YEREVAN. – “The Prime Minister [Karen Karapetyan] has no reason to resign. And the regularly disseminated news, allegedly, about existing disagreements, conflicts [between Karapetyan and I], are made-up (…). It’s a healthy work environment in our country, and particularly in our party [the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA)].”

The President of Armenia, and RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan, told the abovementioned to reporters, during his visit to Tavush Province, according to 168 Zham (Hour) newspaper.

“In essence, with his announcement, Serzh Sargsyan put an end to the speculations about disagreements between him and the PM.

“The thing is that individual press resources have begun consistently ‘drumming’ about the heated Sargsyan-Karapetyan competition, conflict.

“[But] there are all prerequisites to assume that we are not dealing with a conflict or a competition, but a tandem whose cooperation will last very long, and it will predetermine the political layout of the country,” wrote 168 Zham.
