YEREVAN. – Armenia’s ambassador to UK, Armen Sarkissian, was in the Republic of Armenia (RA), at least as of Monday, and he was in active trips and meetings, according to Hraparak (Square) newspaper.

“The press had reported that he, too, is being considered among the possible candidates for the fourth RA President.

“Other names are also being circulated: Public Council Chairman Vazgen Manukyan, former Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] President Arkadi Ghukasyan, CC [Constitutional Court] President Gagik Harutyunyan, and others.

“Also, the name of Armen Grigoryan, [incumbent President] Serzh Sargsyan’s Chief of Staff, was quoted yesterday [Tuesday] among the ranks of the RPA [the ruling Republican Party of Armenia],” wrote Hraparak.
