YEREVAN. – Official website of the National Statistical Service of Armenia has publicized the registered unemployment and employment rates in the country for the third quarter of the year past, wrote Past (Fact) newspaper.

Accordingly, the registered unemployment rate in Armenia has dropped totaling 16.5 percent, as compared with 2016, when this indicator was 18 percent.

Also, the number of officially registered unemployed made up 76,700 people, from January to December 2017; this indicator also has dropped, as compared with 2016, when it totaled 79,200 people.

Employment rate in Armenia was 52.9 percent in the third quarter of last year; this indicator has increased, as compared with 2016, when the employment rate was 50 percent.

And the number employed in the country was 1,032,800 people in the third quarter of 2017, whereas 1,006,200 people—in 2016.
