YEREVAN. – In recent days, ceasefire violations have become more frequent not solely at the line of contact between the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and Azerbaijani troops, but also on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, Zhoghovurd (People) newspaper reported.

“And now, according to Zhoghovurd daily, the OSCE has already begun to carry out a discussion, and also to conduct monitoring, in connection with the situation at the border.

“In a conversation with Zhoghovurd daily, MFA [Ministry of Foreign Affairs] Spokesperson Tigran Balayan also informed that the RA [Republic of Armenia] has already informed international organizations regarding the Azerbaijani side’s actions toward aggravating the situation.

‘“We have informed the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries [Russia, US, and France], office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, as well as other international organizations which periodically express concern in connection with such tensions, also call for refraining from the use of force—stressing every time that the pacific settlement [of the Karabakh conflict] has no alternative. We expect these organizations to take appropriate steps to rein in, hold back Azerbaijan from further such actions,’ he said,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
