YEREVAN. – Armenian authorities are using all possible levers so that they receive any official visit invitation from the United States for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, according to Past (Fact) newspaper.

“One of the topics of the meetings with the US Congress members currently in Yerevan is this matter, so that it may be possible to get that invitation thanks to Congressional lobbying.

“Pashinyan’s satellite NGOs that have connections with certain American organizations, or are funded by the latter, also have been attached to that work to ensure [his] high-level meetings in the US.

“Our sources claim that there have been similar hints also during the meetings with the newly appointed [US] ambassador [to Armenia].

“However, according to our information, the Americans have made some hints, nonetheless, on this occasion, especially in connection with some steps in the foreign policy line of Armenia’s new authorities, including with the fact of [Armenia’s] sending a military unit to Syria,” Past wrote.
