YEREVAN. – It seems Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Armenia, after all, but only for a few hours, according to 168 Zham (Hour) newspaper.
“He will not stay in [capital city] Yerevan. He will only attend the EAEU[Eurasian Economic Union]-format events and will depart.
“It is not ruled out that he will not even attend the official dinner.
“The Armenian side has asked for a bilateral meeting [with him], but as of now, the Russian side has rejected that wish of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan,” 168 Zham wrote.
The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
