YEREVAN. – Past newspaper of Armenia writes: The government yesterday approved a package of draft laws that it has already received among the public the name of initiative to lawfully "bribe" the judges of the Constitutional Court (CC).

The package was considered urgent and will be discussed in parliament within a short time. The draft proposes a solely voluntary early retirement procedure for judges of the Constitutional Court, with maintaining all social benefits.

According to Past newspaper, in parallel to the parliamentary debates, to have the “dream CC” the authorities plan to "work" individually with the undesirable CC judges so that they voluntarily retire. If the "explanation" fails, the "tools" that are applied to [CC President] Hrayr Tovmasyan will be applied.

If that also does not help, then the authorities will go down with the road of dissolution of the Constitutional Court next year, namely, to have a new High Court under the Constitution.

According to our information, most of the CC judges currently consider this plan insulting and are not going to retire.
