YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The NSS [National Security Service] announced on November 15 that it has revealed numerous cases of foreigners adopting children [from Armenia] with gross violations of the RA legislation.

The Zhoghovurd daily has revealed exclusive details on the traces of this statement. It turns out that world-renowned Italian [football] referee Pierluigi Collina [also] has adopted an Armenian child that way.

In a conversation with Zhoghovurd daily, former NSS director Arthur Vanetsyan had said that he had been assisted by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Zaruhi Batoyan, in that discovery [of unlawful adoption of Armenian children].

The latter [Batoyan] told Zhoghovurd daily that there were no Social Security Ministry employees among the detainees.
