YEREVAN. – Past newspaper of Armenia writes: Interesting developments are taking place in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)]. We had already been informed that the former commander of the Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, was trying to nominate his own candidate in the presidential elections to be held in Artsakh.

According to our Artsakh sources, [FM] Masis Mayilian, who sees no chance of winning in the current situation in the presidential elections, has decided that his chances will only increase after uniting with Babayan.

And Babayan, in his turn, wants to solve the problem of securing a large presence in parliament so that in case of failure in the presidential elections, they will have a large number of mandates with Mayilian, which will allow them to create problems for the power of the day.

In fact, the pre-election processes in Artsakh are entering a complicated phase (…).
