YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily writes: Representatives of the World Health Organization [(WHO)] have been in Armenia for several days, monitoring large hospitals to see if Armenia is ready to withstand the coronavirus.
What conclusion did they make? We asked a person in charge of one of the hospitals. "They found that it will be difficult in case of large number patients; we will not be able to withstand without the WHO’s assistance." Why can't you? "There is a problem with the number of beds, medicines…if the actual the epidemic begins, there will not be 2-4 cases, there may be more than 100-200.
We have decided that hospitals will operate in a state of emergency, as in times of wars. We will be re-profiled, we will not admit planned patients, we will be busy with the coronavirus.”
Who will cover the costs of treatment? "The state."
