YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: The coronavirus situation in the National Assembly [(NA)] is getting worse day by day. At [the majority] My Step [faction] they work in non-stop mode so that the CC [Constitutional Court] operation does not fail.

Now the main task is the amendment to the Law on NA Rules of Procedure, whereby an opportunity will be given to the sick deputies to inform in writing about their voting, as it is done now while on a business trip, without being present at the sitting.

They will convene a special [session] in an accelerated mode for that, so that the election of the CC judges will not fail. By law, the halls of power have set a two-month timeframe to complement the CC. After the amendment to the law, whoever wants to, let them [the Armenian MPs] be infected with the coronavirus; they will send a writing from homes and ensure the necessary votes.
