YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: It can be said that the nomination of a candidate for a [new] judge of the Constitutional Court [(CC)] has created a real mess within the authorities.

According to Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the main wing of the halls of power is doing everything possible to prevent the issue of electing Vahram Avetisyan, the CC [judge] candidate nominated by the government, from reaching the parliament.

According to our sources, these days the legal wing of the halls of power is doing everything internally so that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan rejects Avetisyan’s candidacy and nominates a new candidate for the candidacy of a [new] judge of the CC.
