YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Back on August 7, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had approved the composition of the boards of trustees of 4 universities.

According to Zhoghovurd daily’s information, the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan has decided that there should no longer be MPs in the board of trustees [of universities].

Our government sources report that Arayik Harutyunyan informed RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about it and noted that he wanted to leave the MPs out of the membership of the university board of trustees.

And it seems that the Prime Minister has agreed that the representatives of the legislature should no longer be on the boards, and many of the [majority] My Step [parliamentary faction] MPs have been surprised to learn that they are no longer on the board of trustees.
