YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes: The Constitutional Court already has three new judges. The National Assembly [on Tuesday] elected all three candidates: Yervand Khundkaryan, Edgar Shatiryan, and Artur Vagharshyan.

After taking the oath, all the members of the CC [Constitutional Court] will gather and elect the president of the Constitutional Court from among themselves.

And although it was obvious from the beginning that the now former chairman of the Court of Cassation, Yervand Khundkaryan, has resigned from his current post with the intention of becoming president of the Constitutional Court, surprises are not ruled out.

The thing is that initially Vahe Grigoryan was sent to the Constitutional Court to become the president of the Constitutional Court, but his plan was not implemented, and it is not ruled out that now he will try his hand and self-nominate.
