YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: According to Past newspaper’s information, the more the [June 20 snap parliamentary] elections draw near, the more the authorities are worried about the daily decline of their own [popularity] rating.

Moreover, according to our information, the authorities regularly conduct a series of opinion polls in order to find out what "amplitude" of [popularity] rating they have amid the internal and external processes taking place.

According to our sources, they conducted the regular "internal use" polls these days, and it has become clear that [acting PM] Nikol Pashinyan's [popularity] rating has consistently declined over the past week; on the contrary, [second President] Robert Kocharyan's [popularity] rating has considerably increased.

Moreover, we also have information that, according to those polls, at present, the ratio of those going to vote for the CC [the ruling Civil Contract Party, led by Pashinyan] and the "Armenia" bloc [led by Kocharyan] is almost equal—with a 2-percent advantage of the bloc. This has seriously disturbed Nikol Pashinyan, who, according to our information, has instructed to carry out a stronger anti-campaign against the "Armenia" bloc and "find dirt"—in possible and impossible ways—, in terms of the electoral processes.
