YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: The 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was held in Indonesia, in which the Republic of Armenia’s parliamentary delegation, led by NA [(National Assembly)] president Alen Simonyan, also took part.

According to our information, two resolutions on the RF [(Russian Federation)]-Ukraine conflict were submitted to the Assembly for discussion. One of them, which had a strong anti-Russian nature and harsher assessments, was presented by the New Zealand delegation, the other, the more balanced one—by the Indonesian delegation.

According to our sources, a document was circulated by Ukraine as well; but at the last moment rejected it, calling for voting in favor of the New Zealand version. In the end, the draft presented by New Zealand "won."

According to Past newspaper’s information, the Armenian delegation abstained from voting for that version, and voted for the more balanced version; that is, the one presented by Indonesia.

By the way, the following countries also voted almost like the Armenian delegation: Iran, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Paraguay, Qatar, Syria, UAE, Tanzania, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Bahrain, Belarus, RSA [(Republic of South Africa)], China, Jordan.
