YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper writes. After the meeting of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan held in Brussels on the initiative of President Charles Michel of the European Council, the parties had issued a statement, one of the provisions of which referred to the demarcation and delimitation of the borders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

(…) it became known yesterday that Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan. The [respective] message [released] notes: “The sides agreed on the structure of the Commission on delimitation and border security. It was agreed to convene a meeting on the Commission on delimitation and border security in near future.”

Zhoghovurd daily spent the whole day trying to find out what steps the [Armenian] political authorities are taking to form the above-mentioned working group. Even though the Ministry of Foreign Affairs listened, but it did not speak. Eduard Aghajanyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, left our calls unanswered. In a conversation with us, Hayk Mamijanyan, the deputy chair of the committee, conveyed that he does not know anything about forming a working group.
