YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of Armenia writes: Zhoghovurd daily learned that the opposition will organize rallies from time to time until September—the start of the regular session of the parliament—, and as of September, the new phase of protest actions will start; there will also be rallies.

We were informed that at the moment they will call the people to the square every ten days or every two weeks in the format of rallies or [protest] actions. And as soon as the new NA [(National Assembly)] session starts, the pickets of the [opposition] Resistance Movement also will be held with new momentum and intensity.

Let us note that on May 1 when the opposition announced the start of a street struggle against [PM] Nikol Pashinyan and the ruling political force, it was assuring that their struggle was unstoppable, and neither the scorching sun nor the heavy rain could prevent the rallies. (...). The realities, however, showed that both the spring rains and the hot summer sun can be a reason for the opposition to not fulfill [their] determined goals, and they can decide to move the day and time of the rally.

By the way, the members of the [aforesaid opposition] movement did not demonstrate also when guests from abroad, particularly from Russia, arrived in Armenia. The vivid proof of this was RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Yerevan on June 9.
