YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: MPs of the [ruling] Civil Contract Party (…) spent three days in Dilijan [city].

(...) [PM] Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Dilijan on Sunday, and they had a meeting with the Prime Minister for several hours.

We were told that, in fact, throughout the meeting with party members, Nikol Pashinyan talked about the signing of a [peace] treaty [with Azerbaijan] being unrealistic. (...) he became frank and said that the existing disagreements—not only in the Armenian-Azerbaijani, but also in the West-Russia domain—do not inspire him with optimism, and the so-called "peace treaty" may not be brought to fruition in the coming years.

(...). On the other hand, according to Pashinyan, Armenia should protect the right of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Armenians to self-determination. It was said that, of course, it is unrealistic to talk about independence under these conditions, but some status in accordance with international standards should be defined; for example, Artsakh should act as an autonomous entity—have all its structures and so on. However, he also added that any option related to Artsakh is categorically rejectable by [Azerbaijani president] Aliyev.

In addition, they emphasized that the arrows of accountability should be directed towards the authorities of Artsakh, to show that they are the ones that are attached to Russia, and therefore they should bear all the accountability for the provocations.

In fact, Nikol Pashinyan is not able to resolve issues through his beloved West; he has decided to speak the language of blackmail towards the strategic ally [Russia].
