YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again manipulates the topic of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict. For example, on November 2, he spoke in the parliament about the status of Artsakh and noted that he tried to put that word aside.

"We have agreed with our Russian colleagues that now it is not worth going and trying to solve this issue because it will lead to an inevitable crisis, and I am happy here, I can say this now. The next problem which I had said publicly and I want to say in retrospect: we also proposed that in Sochi itself, on the spot, a decision would be made to extend the mandate of the Russian gamekeepers stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh for an indefinite period of time: for 20 years, 15 years, 5 years, etc.,” he said, adding that the proposal was not accepted, but the issue was put on the agenda.

That is, Nikol Pashinyan states that he is not talking about the status of Artsakh because the Russian colleagues proposed to put off the issue of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh for an indefinite period of time. But on April 23, 2022, Nikol Pashinyan announced in the parliament: "The international community proposes to lower the status bar of Artsakh a little."

First of all, let's note that there was no mention here of the Russian side. And on the other hand, when he talked about lowering the bar, he did not say that they were going to discuss it later.

It turns out that he once again manipulates the topic of negotiations and the Artsakh conflict.
