Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: The RF [(Russian Federation)] Minister of Foreign Affairs’ special representative on matters of assisting in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Igor Khovaev, had arrived in Yerevan a few days ago. He met with [PM] Nikol Pashinyan, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, and SC [(Security Council)] Secretary Armen Grigoryan.

According to the information of the Past newspaper, Khovaev conveyed a warning to the Armenian authorities that Moscow is seriously angry especially with Pashinyan's statement that "it turns out that the RF military presence in the RA not only does not guarantee, but on the contrary, creates threats to the security of Armenia."

This was assessed in Russia as "crossing all red lines" by Pashinyan. According to our sources, this situation has worried the current authorities of Armenia quite a lot, and after that meeting, in particular, the RA Foreign Minister and Defense Minister "quickly" called their Russian counterparts

By the way, according to the information we have, Moscow is also angry with Pashinyan's statement that the EU monitors are coming to Armenia to make sure Armenia, together with Russia, is not going to "carry out joint aggressive actions against Azerbaijan." This is perceived in Russia as Western "control" over their presence in Armenia.
