Hraparak daily of Armenia writes: We learned from Syunik [Province] that a border guard committed suicide in Vorotan community a few days ago.

The person who committed suicide was from Abovyan [city], where the border guard was buried yesterday.

However, it is noteworthy that the relevant bodies—in this case, the NSS [(National Security Service)]—did not disseminate any message about it.

According to the claim of our interlocutor from Syunik, the cases of suicide both in the Armed Forces and in the border guard troops [of Armenia] have become more frequent in recent times, but only a small percentage of the cases being recorded as a result of the ownerlessness dominant in this system are officially reported.
