YEREVAN. – An interesting thing occurred during the parliamentary election campaign meeting of Gagik Tsarukyan, Chairman of the ruling coalition’s junior partner, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), with the voters in Sisian city, Zhoghovurd daily writes. 

“When, in order to break the fear among the people, Tsarukyan stated: ‘Don’t listen to the regional governors and the mayors, vote by [listening to] your conscience!’, the Sisian residents were bewildered.          

The thing is that Sisian Mayor Aghasi Hakobjanyan is a Prosperous Armenia member, and there were a considerable number of [Sisian] City Hall employees among those who had gathered.

‘So, what should we do now? Shall we vote for the PAP, or not?’, the voters asked one another in shock,” Zhoghovurd writes.
