YEREVAN. – Although the pro-government press wrote numerous times that Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan will no longer be Armenian National Olympic Committee (ANOC) Chairman ever since when the PAP refused to form a coalition government with the Republican Party (RPA), it is clear that Tsarukyan will continue heading the ANOC, Yerkir daily writes.

“By the way, it is the RPA elite who wish to see Tsarukyan in this capacity; the RPA appreciates Tsarukyan’s merit in developing [Armenia’s] sports.

According to our information, it is also possible that a PAP member could be appointed Sport and Youth Affairs Minister,” Yerkir writes.
