YEREVAN. – According to the official data which the Armenian Government-Affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation has issued, around 40,000 people have left Armenia by planes and not returned to the country in the past ten months of the current year, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“During the same period last year, the number of those who had left on planes and not returned was a little more than 29 thousand.

“That is, the number of those who had left on planes and not returned [to Armenia] has increased by more than З6 percent, as compared to last year.   

“Incidentally, more than half of the emigrants in recent years emigrate by motor vehicles.   

“That is, one already can predict that the summary emigration indicator will be at least around 50 thousand at the end of the year,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
