Today, May 11, at 17:21 (13:21 GMT) Seismological network of territorial seismic protection service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia recorded an earthquake in Azerbaijan.

The tremors were recorded 17 km to the north of the town of Lenkoran. The geographical coordinates of the earthquake are 38.90⁰ N and 48.88⁰ E. The origin of the earthquake was located at the center of Azerbaijan.

The origin of this earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was 5.0. At the epicentre the intensity of shocks made 6-7 MSK.

The earthquake was also felt in Kapan, Kajaran, Agarak, Meghri, Alvank, Nrnadzor, and Shvanidzor villages of the Syunik region with an intensity of 4 MSK.
